Career Centre

File consists of photographs depicting basketball teams, badminton in the gym, Field Days and outdoor games, basketball games, a hockey game, cheerleaders, and an aerial of the campus, freeway and surrounding neighbourhood, with hockey rink and field visible (ca. 1969).


Two spliced images in one print: left side depicts the serving line of Concordia's new cafeteria, right side depicts Professor John Borger inspecting construction of new biology laboratory.


File consists of slides depicting the exterior of Concordia, including the maintenance building beside Founders Hall, Guild Hall, and Schwermann Hall, and a "meet Concordia" sign. Slides also depict staff and faculty including Walter V. Schienbein and a pastor, and the Women's Guild.

Alumni events

File consists of photographs and negatives depicting various alumni events during the 1980s including basketball games, concerts, cupcake competition, ice cream social 1986, and alumni attending Concordia events.

Series consists of files that predominantly depict depicting students participating in campus sports and athletic activities. Series also includes images of the Edmonton Eskimos practicing at Concordia College.

Concordia hockey team

Series consists of files that predominantly depict banquets held by Concordia College including unidentified banquets, Awards and Honours Banquets, College Farewell Banquets, Spring Banquets, and Fundraising Banquets.


File consists of slides depicting sports award recipients, track and field, flag football on the field, "First" and "goal to go" Football Weekend, baseball, basketball.

Alumni slides

File consists of slides depicting people in front of a 1867 Centennial of Canadian Confederation banner, the May Field Day, the landscape of the North Saskatchewan River, and young women in front of the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Stony Plain.

Dormitory Renovation

Inscribed on back: shows men's dormitory dedicated and occupied in January 1926, in stage of renovation during summer of 1969. Entire "guts" were removed, "suites" for 4 or 5 students were changed to doubles, ozite floor carpeting installed, flourescent [fluorescent] light fixtures, formica-topped decks and bed-dresser units, new plumbing etc., as well as new entrances to the dormitory, all new aluminum windows with drapes, student lounge canteen + bookstore, as well as counselor's suite all for ca. $ 175,000.oo, or as one BHE official put it, less than half the cost of the building from scratch.

Bill Becker

Series consists of images previously identified as part of the Bill Becker Collection through the Lutheran Historical Institute. This series includes all images identified as taken by Bill Becker. Series does not include all images depicting Bill Becker.

File consists of slides depicting an unidentified banquet held with people in attendance including Fred Bogner and his wife, Paul and Marilyn Scott, Jake Baron and his wife, Rick Willie and family, and R. Schlegelmilch.
